Women have made significant contributions to science from the earliest times. But when it comes to naming a famous woman in tech, in best case people’s knowledge is limited to Marie Curie, who is indeed a great example and a role model, but there are many more to be proud of.
And what about women in tech? According to Eurostat 2017 there’s 16,7% of women in ICT. And back in times computer science was called “women’s work” and women were called “naturals”: “It’s just like planning a dinner,” admiral Grace Hopper also known as the Amazing Grace, a pioneering computer science pioneer, explained to “Cosmopolitan” readers in a 1967 story.
During this meetup you will discover new female names in science and technology.
